About me
Hello! If you want to know a little bit about me, you've come to the right site.
I was born in the Philippines and graduated from the University of San Francisco with a BA in English. I've been a writer since high school. Aside from writing, I have experience in editing and design, and I learned how to code HTML by hand back when that was still viable.
For many years now my primary focus has been my novel about the 11th Airborne Division in the Philippines in World War II. I'm also working on its sequel, set in 1946 California, as well as a novel set in the early 2000s about a pitching phenom for my San Francisco Giants. I've contributed research and writing assistance to Marcus Brotherton's A Bright and Blinding Sun and The Long March Home with Tosca Lee. I currently live in Eastern Washington with my husband.
Marketing & consumer writer
From 2003 to 2006 I worked as a freelance marketing writer based in Makati, Metro Manila. My major projects included news items and advertorial copy for real estate developments like The Columns Ayala Avenue for Alveo Land (then CII) and The Residences at Greenbelt, as well as write-ups for TEVA and Kickers footwear.
Switching lanes to product reviews and consumer guides, I'm currently on contract to BestReviews. I've written a number of buying guides for laptops, headphones, speakers, travel gear, kitchenware, furniture, and even coffee. Please note I don't currently write about products outside of BestReviews, so if you have an announcement or pitch, please contact BestReviews directly.
